From March 28th to 29th, the 362nd "Shuangqing Forum," hosted by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, co-organized by the Qinzhou Municipal Government, and undertaken by Guangxi University, was held in Qinzhou, Guangxi. The forum, themed "Fundamental Scientific Issues in the Green Construction and Operation of Modern Canals," brought together over 40 experts and scholars from institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Tsinghua University to jointly discuss modern canal construction.

Over the course of two days, experts focused on the forum's theme and delivered specialized reports and speeches on four topics: the transportation of water and sediment in modern canals and regional water security, the efficient and safe design of canal waterways and navigation structures for long-term operation, low-carbon and green construction, and management of modern canal engineering, as well as intelligent construction and intelligent operation and maintenance. They also conducted field research at Pinglu Canal Madao Hub and Qingnian Hub.

The "Shuangqing Forum" is a strategic academic symposium established by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, aimed at exploring scientific frontiers, refining scientific issues, and promoting interdisciplinary integration.
