Hoang Ngoc Vinh, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in Nanning, leading a party of three, visited Guangxi University (GXU) on 20th of May. Mr. Fan Zuojun, Vice President of GXU met with them, and heads of the International Exchange Department and International College were also present at the meeting.
Mr. Fan expressed his appreciation to Mr. Hoang Ngoc Vinh’s effort in promoting exchanges of students and cooperation in education between China and Viet Nam over the years. He said that Mr. Hoang, as the Consul General, had been very supportive in the oversea dispatchment of teachers and students of GXU, enrollment and management of international students as well as intercollegiate cooperation. He said that Vietnamese students are now performing well in GXU and the quality of students is increasing. With the help of the Consulate General, GXU hopes to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese universities, carry out joint programs cultivating high-level talents, and look forward to Mr. Hoang’s support in intercollegiate cooperation between the two countries when he returns to Vietnam.
Mr. Hoang expressed his gratitude to GXU for its cultivation of and care to Vietnamese students. He said that these students are lucky to study here as GXU has first-class disciplines and they will try their best to meet the requirements of assimilation management. Mr. Hoang promised that the Consulate General will continue to serve as a bridge between the two countries, and after he returns to Viet Nam, he will help to publicize GXU and supports its work in Viet Nam. He hoped that personnel exchanges can be carried out soon so that Vietnamese students can come back to study in GXU and teachers and students of GXU can visit universities in Viet Nam.
