GXU School of Civil Engineering and Architecture wins the Gold Award of the Sixth National Youlu Cup BIM Technology Competition


On October 21st, the 6th National Youlu Cup BIM Technology Competition, hosted by the Talent Exchange Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and co-organized by Shijiazhuang Tiedao University in Zhengzhou. The project "Integrated Intelligent Construction Technology for Mountain Highway Reconstruction and Expansion of Wide Prestressed Box Girder Bridges with Multi-Cell Chambers" led by the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Guangxi University was awarded the Gold Prize of Public Infrastructure Category in the Institutions Group, realizing the breakthrough of the Gold Prize of the University in this event. The project was led by GXU ,cooperated with China Communications Construction South Road and Bridge Engineering Company, with the participation of four teachers from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture. At the same time, the "BIM modeling and application of falling pendulum impact test platform of Guangxi University" project,led by the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture , cooperated with the First Construction Engineering Group Co.Ltd , won the Bronze Prize of Industrial and Civil Construction group.

The competition is a national, high starting point, large-scale and high-specification classic competition in the construction industry hosted by the Talent Exchange Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with the original intention of "deepening the integration of industry and education, university-enterprise cooperation, and innovating the mechanism of BIM professional and technical personnel training", connecting the enterprises and universities, and building a platform for BIM personnel training. The competition includes two groups: Enterprise Group and HEI Group. It was launched on March 16, 2023, and the gold, silver, bronze and excellence prizes will be awarded after evaluation process.
